Symmetry Problem

I have just spent hours rendering a pretty nice looking wing…many feathers… with the plan to simply use a symmetry object to make the opposite wing. I only get the splines for the duplicate wing… none of the feathers!

Why isn’t it “symmetrizing” the materials???

Won’t work that way but you can do symmetry first then add hair later to the symmetry object and if will add hair to both parts
