Yes you can use the USB connection on the camera.
Takes about 12 minutes to unload a 8GB s x s card.
Unfortunatly no way to check for error correction as you can with Clip Browser which is Intel only.

what errors is it correcting? is there anything i can read about it?

The Clip Browser program has the ability to verify that all of the data has been duplicated exactly, where as dragging and dropping could possibly miss something.
