SxS Card Driver vs New MBP
MBP 2.5 Ghz, 4GB memory (Oct 08)
OSX 10.5.5
Quick Time Pro 7.5.5
FCP 6.0.4

XDCam EX3Just downloaded the latest SxS Driver and Browser from Sony, and installed them in my one-day old MBP. Plugging in the SxS card into the Express card slot, nothing shows in the Finder. The Browser software works, but can’t see the card either. I confirmed the card has video by viewing it with the XDCam Transfer software on my Mac Pro (which has the same SxS driver installed). So the driver works fine in the Mac Pro (OSX 10.5.4, QuickTime 7.5), but not in the laptop.
All I’m trying to do is set up the MBP laptop so I can copy the video cards to a hard drive. Are there any known issues with SxS Driver with the newer laptops? Or have I left out a step?

Hi Kuhnen,
There’s an issue with the new Macbook Pro and Sony’s FAM driver. Sony’s aware of the bug and is apparently working on a fix. Here’s a previous thread on this topic:
