Switching to Vegas 7
We just purchased a new integrated machine with Vegas 7 etc. I know that ver 7 will convert our ver 6 files and that they will then not be usable in ver 6.
but I would like to keep a usable project etc. on the version 6 format/machine as a back up. How would you suggest doing this. Copy the veg files etc to a new folder and import that to the ver 7 machine? Do we have to copy all the video clips as well? Thanks for your help. -

Yes. Just copy the files to a new location and use those files.
You’ll also want the newest version of Excalibur installed for use with Vegas 7. I know the version you have won’t work with Vegas 7. The newest version is at https://www.jetdv.com/excalibur and is now at version 5.5.
