Is there a quick short cut for switching to transcoded source material?

Instead of using replace footage one at a time in the project window, I’m wondering about a way to make the process of switching to ProRes versions of source material.

Such as moving the original source to a new folder then launching the project and using locate to target the ProRes versions. If the name was the same, might it just find all of the missing files of similar names?

Gonna try it but wondered if anyone had any suggestions.

    Thanks

    yes!

Depending when in your workflow you want to do that, you may want to use the Project Manager function.

    Thanks.

I tested the MOVE source method and it worked. The only adjustment I needed to make was making sure the XAVC ProRes files were also 8 channel to allow PPro to make the substitution.

I’ll explore the Project Manager options next.
