Switching to Encore- 2 questions
Right now we use DVD Architect or DVD Studio Pro
I’m beginning work on an educational DVD and am considering using
Encore because of its FLASH output, as well as the ability to go Blu-Ray iun the future. Has anyone used that feature? Will it output an entire DVD as a giant SWF file, replacing the DVD menu structure with a FLASH menu structure, all ready to upload?The project is going to have 5 tests with 20 questions each, and it
will be useful if Encore just publishes a FLASH ready version that I
can pop onto the web. Or are my expectations too high?Also, has anyone any experience with the Encore DVD Scripting
capabilities? I wanted to use the scripting to track the users score in a memory register. Is there any decent documentation on DVD scriting for encore?Thanks in advance for your opinions or advice.

Encore doesn’t offer any DVD scripting – it has pre-packaged actions, but none of them are “quiz-oriented”.

Thanks, Joe. Guess I’m reading too many product descriptions and got confused.
Any opinions to the Flash exporting – do ALL menu items and interactivity export or are their limits I’ll find out after spending $799?

The Flash export feature is a really nice one. It’s essentially a DVD simulation in Flash, and links, menus, etc. are preserved. There are some things which are ignored as it’s not DVD, such as user operations, CSS, etc.

Just to expand on that – first play, button links, button highlights, title menu, timeline menu, playlists are all supported.
No subtitles, though.
