Switching out video files
I have a project where I imported HDV video files with audio embedded within them (normal mpg files). During the course of editing, I unlinked the video from its original audio altogether and have linked it with other audio-only files. This means I no longer need the audio that came in attached to the video. How can I tell Premiere CS3 to stop conforming the video’s original audio (which it does quite often) since I no longer need it? If I were to export all my video as video-only mpg files, could I then somehow make a switch while maintaining all my sequences and edits? I try doing that now and Premiere tells me my original file is audio/video and it won’t accept a video-only replacement. What can I do?
