When I create a lower third solid (say, a rectangular stripe) over which I am putting a title, it seems I always have to make the solid first and then do the title. Also, if I want to make changes to the solid later on, like alter its shape or color, I find it very difficult to navigate back to the solid. I usually do it with a jumble of clicks and right-mouse clicks until I get there. Likewise, if I’ve saved the overall title and reopen it, it is again difficult to navigate between the solid and the title. It’s even more complicated if I incorporate a logo in the title as well. What are the specific commands that would enable me to do this simply and efficiently?

Title is a powerful tool and selecting objects inside it works much like a layers photoshop file, although there aren’t any tracks to view, which would be a nice addition, you can select an element and toggle your way through with the shortcut keys ctl+alt+[ or ctl+alt+] replace ctl with cmd on Mac.

    Hope this helps…

You’re right on both counts. It IS a powerful tool and it would be great if there were “layers” like in Photoshop. Thanks for the tips.
