Switching from Media Composer
Well, just like Steve’s post from this morning regarding switching from FCP, we too are switching from Avid Media Composer to Premiere Pro 5.5. I’ve been an Avid editor for 14 years now, so this will be quite a change, but we’re looking forward to it!
Any advice from those who have made that switch? Any major gotchas? I’ve got a Matrox MXO2 box installed as we had heard some not-so-good things about the Blackmagic box, and an NVIDIA Quadro 4000. I already do a lot of work in After Effects, so I’m very interested in the integration between the Adobe programs.
Along with HD work, we have a fair amount of XDCAM footage that is SD, 16:9 aspect. How do I set up a project in that manner?
