switching between nodes in Resolve
Posted by Kerin Sharma on June 26, 2014 at 8:09 pmHello does anybody know the shortcut to switch between nodes in Resolve. I know they didn’t have it in previous versions but they might on this one. I would make my life a lot more easier if I could switch between nodes or select individual nodes with keyboard shortcuts rather than using mouse
thanks

August 8, 2015 at 2:37 amAlt/option mousewheel only zooms in on the Node window, as far as I can see in v12.

January 11, 2016 at 7:23 pmDangit. I had this working just the other day! Pretty sure there were arrow keys involved. Can’t for the life of me, get it working now. Or remember the key combination. Aaargh!

January 11, 2016 at 8:17 pmOk, OK, I remember now. Sorry to say, it was not a keyboard shortcut, but rather a button combo for the Avid Artist Color ( Left Shift > Next/Previous Frame)
I was pretty excited when I found this, as I don’t see it in any of the PDF’s I’ve got.

January 12, 2016 at 4:53 amNo, but there is a dedicated “Previous Node / Next Node” button on the full-size daVinci Resolve control surface. I really would like a menu command for Previous Node / Next Node, I’m thinking under the NODE menu. Maybe ^N for Next Node, ^P for Previous Node. No luck getting this as a new feature yet.

February 24, 2017 at 10:18 amI believe this feature was introduced in Resolve 12.5 in April 2016. Dedicated keys for previous node/next node do exist on the Tangent Elements panel.

February 24, 2017 at 10:31 amYeah april it was indeed. I immediately implemented that in my custom controller last year.
Shows that it can take a while , but if we keep asking it may eventually make it in an upgrade. 😉 -

February 27, 2017 at 1:24 amI think it’s fair to say that the BMD people do listen very carefully to users and constantly consider making changes to features and the user interface. If you look at Baselight or Lustre or Nucoda or Pablo, I think those programs get significant updates far less frequently than Resolve does.
