Swirl actor in scene efect ?
I would like to know how to make a swirl with 2 dancers in AE.
My client shot some tango dancers and he wants some sort of swirl effect as the couples body moves in circles.
Not the whole image swirling but just the dancers with some swirling fades or whatever its called.Csn anyone help me or suggest ?
I imagined using 2 layers of the same image and masking the couple out on the top layer and adding a swirl effect with blurr ……wouldmthis be the best approach ??

I would use Particular to create some cool swirls on the dancers. You would have to animate lights in 3d space to match the rotation perspective for the dancers, use that as a particle emitter, play with the visibility for the particles to make them disappear behind the dancers and create the “iPod commercial” light streaks around them. Once you have those (using multiple emitters/lights) you can play at will by creating glowing light swirls (in 32 bit project)or just use them to create a alpha layer that you can use to comp the layer on top of itself while using Time effects on it (Echo).
