    Hello,

I am working on a training video that involves filmed footage and captivate swf files. I was lead to believe I could open the swf files with AE CS3. But when I pull them in and play them I only see a black screen. Any suggestions? Also I made the very big mistake of having the captivate capture at 1024X768 and then sized to 720X480 in captivate. So of course now the quality is not the best and the original files were saved over when they resized. When I tried to recapture the file with IshowU and create an uncompressed .MOV file the quality is even worse.

    Again, any recommendations?

    Thanks

    Jennifer

Talk to a Captivate expert first but you should be able to export in different file formats and codecs. Stick to normal editing formats like QT. SWF is more of a delivery format meant for streaming or interactivity.

    Thanks David
That is, sort of, how I got into this mess. I was shocked to find out the only options for export were .swf, word doc, adobe connect, or an executable.

    Thanks for your input.

    Ouch.
Nothing like new software to make you nervous and point out less obvious flaws.
    Try these folks?
