    Hello,

I’m wokring on a horror trailer and I have a high key shot red and blue lights of a women’s face MCU screaming into camera and brushing her hands through her hair trying to brush off wasps. Is there any quick way to generate a sarm of wasps using some of the particle effects so they are flying across the screen like an old 70’s horror film so they do not have to be perfect looking. Basically a swarm flying around her face maybe about 100 or so with loads of motion blur as its a horror and they are all attacking her.

I am thinking maybe Particle Playground or the CC I think it is Particle Producer. Does anyone have any ideas or preferance for me to achive this the best way?

    Thanks,

    Leo

With Particular from Trapcode there’s a Swarm preset.

This isn’t with particles but AE 3D layers (like Aharon’s birds), so here’s a video tut that’s great for a swarm of flies, lots of motion Blur, just click pn the link, “flies.mov (5.3mb Quicktime 7)” at the bottom of blog “Mine’s better Than Yours”:

Just modify a bit for Wasps, maybe a tighter expression for a swarm on someone’s face, say

    wiggle (3,50)

    or whatever works.
