  • Swapping PIP tracks?

I’ve got a project I’m working on which has two video/audio tracks where I edit in a Picture in Picture segment here and there throughout. I have no problem with that and I’ve done several videos like this. My problem comes in this new project where I try to swap the PIP frames, iow, what starts out as the main full screen I want to become the smaller PIP frame. It’s not letting me do this. I’ve tried inserting a third video and audio track, splitting the video and moving the tracks to the newc track but that isn’t doing it either.

Has anyone done this, switched the PIP frames?

I hope I’ve explained it properly. I’m running movie studio platinum 11.0 with the recent 293 build.

I’m away from home now but thought of something I haven’t tried, swapping the video tracks from top to bottom. Iow, is there a requirement that the full screen video needs to be “above” the PIP video track?

Any suggestions? I do love this software, everything I’ve thought of I’ve been able to do with about five mins of searching, except this one.

    Thanks!!!!
    Bill

Sorry for wasting your time, I’m home now and tried swapping the tracks as I thought of while I was out. And it works now.

So, apparently the PIP video has to be on top of the full screen video. At least in this case.
