  • SVP11: What render template and settings preserve alpha channel?

    Hey guys.
I need to know which template and setting to use to preserve my alpha channel in a video clip?

    My project settings are: 1440×1080 29.97 1.333hdv

I heard about png, but not sure what setting to use in SVP11.
(I would prefer not to use png methode) But I will if it is the best quality.

You can render to uncompressed AVI but this will result in huge files. The best option is to use either QuickTime Animation codec or QuickTime PNG codec. Both will preserve the alpha channel. You’ll have to create your own QuickTime templates as Vegas doesn’t come with them.

    Try this:

You may need to change the Frame Size, Frame rate, Field order, Compression depth, etc. Just make it look like this:
