    Hello to everybody !

I create this post to report a small issue I have with my Sony Vegas Pro 10.
I’m adding a credit roll to my movie, so I have many double elements. I want to make the left element aligned to the right of the “left block”, and the right element aligned to the left of the “right element”.
So, it’s just about selecting the good alignment.
But I don’t have the option to choose the alignment for double elements ! It is present for headers and simple elements, but not double and I don’t understand why and how to fix one.
I tried to search via google and search engine on this forum but I don’t got any results. Does someone knows about this issue ?

    Thanks by advance 🙂

I upload a screenshot of the media manager window, to show what is missing (French version !)

I can’t duplicate your problem. When I used the Sony Credit Roll, I did exactly the process you described and it always worked for me. I don’t use the Sony Credit Roll any more – not because there’s any problems – but because making changes can sometimes be tedious. And I was making a lot of changes.

I bought a copy of VideoTagger by Electric Happiness that lets me make my credit rolls in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. It also lets me add any .jpg images to the roll.

    Hi,

I tried the free trial for VideoTagger but the export doesn’t work. It looks like a good software to make credit rolls, but since I have only one movie to do for a small project, with simple credit rolls, I don’t want to buy a software just for this feature 🙁
But thank you for your advice, if I have to make more movies I could think about it.

I don’t care for the Credit Roll in Vegas, but you can essentially get what you want by putting a plain text event on track one which contains
all the text you want to have on the left side of the screen, and creating a second event on track two that has all the text you want to have
on the right side of your screen.

By using the Pan/Crop for each event, you can “move” the text you want to be on the left towards the left side of the screen, and the other text
event over towards the right side of the screen. Then by using a keyframe at the start of the event, set the “Y” position to make the pan crop
be ABOVE the top line of text (which would move the text event to just below the bottom of the screen when viewed), and set a keyframe at the end
of the text event to set the “Y” position to make the pan crop be BELOW the bottom line of text in the event (which would move the text event to
just above the top of the screen when viewed). In the example below, the “credits” will roll from top to bottom of the viewing screen.

If you set the same keyframe start value (and ending keyframe value) for “Y” for both events, they will move in perfect unision with each other.

Below are some screen shots of what I’m talking about.

You can have a LOT of lines of text for your credits and by changing the total length (of time) of the text events, it will change the “speed” at
which the credits will roll across the screen. You could have 3 lines that scroll across the screen in 5 seconds, or 20 lines that scroll in
50 seconds (whatever the length of the text event).

Yeah that’s a good way to get rid of this problem I didn’t really thought about it because I was focusing on fixing the Sony Vegas missing elements, but since it’s a problem nobody did encountered throughout my searches. I’ll use your advice !

Thank you very much Stephen and Andrew for using your time to help me with relevant tips 🙂
