    Hi….

Our client is loooking for add surround sound to his new configuration.

I was looking a the M-Audio’s Delta 1010LT card as it’s highly recommended by Adobe.

I was also looking at M-Audio’s LX 4 (2.1 w/5.1 expan sion) series or monitoring.

I’m pretty green when it comes to Surround sound.

I was reviewing the PDF’s of the manuals and I’m still not sure how the 1010LT and the Monitoring system work togehter…and how you mamke Premiere and Encore see it.

If someone could lay it out for me….it would be most appreciated…

    Thanks…

    Alex

    Alex,

Obviously, the sound card must be installed first, but then it must functioning properly with ASIO drivers. Then it will appear as an option on the Audio Hardware page of PPro’s preferences. Once PPro knows to use that card, then use Preferences again to set Audio Output Mapping.

Not sure about Encore, but it’s probably much the same.

I don’t know how well it plays with PPro but you should look at Echo Gina 3G which I believe has a good reputation.
