  Surround audio pan settings in 6.0c

  I’m using Vegas 6.0c to encode 5.1 96/24 audio into Windows Media Audio.

  The incoming audio is essentially 6 mono channels, and for the center channel, I’m using the Film pan setting so that none of its information is spread to the left or right channels.

  Now, although the slider says 0.0 dB, the number near the center is -6.0 dB. Shouldn’t this be 0.0 dB? I’m assuming that the center channel should be at the same level as all the others, not knocked down -6.0 dB.
