    Hi,
    more annoying questions from me…
I recently watched a tutorial on using the surface deformer and it all seemed pretty straightforward, however upon trying to put it into practice for a particular project I have in mind, it is not working how one would expect….
I am trying to deform a cube object to follow the surface of a hand object, but it only wants to go to the base of the arm, and when I change the U, V coordinates it still won’t move from that area, just distorts…
    Any ideas of a solution?

The surface deformer depends on the target object having a good UV map, and your arm object doesn’t. All of the UV polygons are stacked on top of each other, which is why your cube is restricted to that one area.

    Hmm ok…
I don’t know much about UV maps but it gives me something to research!
    Thanks for your help
