A client brought me mpeg4 video files created with this camera. They are in an mpeg4 format that is supposedly Quicktime.

I am running QT 6.5 and vegas 6.0a build 99.

The individual video files have an mp4 extension. When I drag a file into the vegas timeline, there is a Quicktime error message that says the files is encoded using an mpeg4 profile that qt does not currently supported. I click OK and the error repeats four to six times per clip, but it eventually loads and is playable on the timeline.

Once all the error messages are done, I can render the clip to an output codec.

I have about 35 clips to convert. Any ideas on how I can get past all the error messages and render these files to something easier to work with?

I don’t understand why Sony can’t make cameras that work easily with their own software products. They did the same stupid stuff with micro MV a few years back.
