I am using Super video converter, I have tried dozens of converters and this one seems to be the best for me. I am shooting in 1440x1080i HD (M2T Sony file) and whenver I convert to flash with Super, my video comes out in 4:3, no matter what I do. I try to indicate that I want 16:9 but it always comes out 4:3. Any suggestions? Are there better converters out there? I don’t mind paying for one, I just need one that will convert m2t to flv.

Also, does it matter if I convert to SWF or FLV? Will they both do the same thing in the end?

There are hundreds of video encoders for the PC. If you want a good, all round encoding application have a look at Procoder, or Sorenson Squeeze.

Yes it does matter, it depends on your application. No they won’t both do the same thing in the end:
