    Hello All,

I am compressing a 14 minute HD timeline from FCP using Apple Compressor. When I start the compressor the remaining time starts at about 2 minutes and continues to increase. I allowed the compressor to run for over 24 hours and the progress bar didn’t even get one third of the way and the remaining time was over 100 hours.

Any idea why this is taking so long? PLEASE HELP!

Here are my settings (which I got from a Vimeo HD compressor tutorial):

Have you tried going to the compressor menu under “file” and clicking, reset background processing? Also check your batch monitor first to make sure nothing else is running. If it is, or if it’s just sitting there, listed as canceled, I’d try resetting the background processing.
