Greets. I thank you in advance for looking and helping out.

Here’s my issue. (And I admit, total N00B) I have prepared a DVD compliant Mpeg that I was looking to edit in Premiere CS4. All I want to do is add the fade out effect for both video and audio. (Alpha fade) I have that figured out. All good. My issue is this, when I export into the AME CS4 the video exports at a size of 1440w x 1080h. (Output is 720w x 480h) When I try to simply crop the video to eliminate the black borders it comes out with major quality loss. My intention is to create a video with as little black border as possible (widescreen video). Anyone have a guide I can use or something that allows me to do what I am trying to accomplish with minimal video quality loss? I appreciate it!

Nevermind. I realize how glaringly obvious this was. When the input is much larger than the output…the video is smaller. Hence the quality loss. Anyways, thanks for the help.

Not a bad question at all.

I’ve had this issue exporting, then importing DV to make a blooper reel.

    Anybody know why this happens?

[Todd Roush] “I’ve had this issue exporting, then importing DV”

Why did you export then re-import?
What format did you export to?

    Cheers
    Eddie
