Super easy Frame Hold question
I’m having a problem with the Frame Hold feature. I’m sure the solution is obvious but to me it’s baffling.
A) Use razor tool to cut the last frame of video element.
B) Switch to the selection tool and select the last frame that has been cut off.
C) Right click the mouse and select Frame Hold from the menu.
D) Select “Hold On” and “In Point” and click ok.
E) Attempt to pull the frame right (or left) to create a few seconds of still frames.
F) TROUBLE!When I pull the frame to the right it won’t move and I get the message, “trim media limit reached on video 1”.
Am I missing something obvious? I’ve done this before on a different video and it worked easily. But this time no luck at all. Thanks for any help in advance!

Use the Rate Stretch Tool to extend the duration of the “still” clip.
I’ll tell you why.
If you have cut at the middle of a clips original duration you can extend until you reach the last frame of the original duration. Sounds like you have cut at the end of the original clips duration already and using the rate stretch tool just extends the clip based on assuming slow motion (speed) being used instead of standard speed.
The other option is to make the frame the absolute last frame and hold on out then extend the front out. You’ll need to make a gap first…
Or you can make a still frame and extend that forever since it’s no longer locked/linked to the video clip.

Thanks. I find the rate stretch tool use as you suggested far easier to manage than the in point, out point zero marker management requirements of Frame Hold.
