Suggestions on render settings on NVIDIA GPU
So.
I just replaced my OLD gpu, a AMD radeon HD 6950, with a newer NVIDIA GTX 1050 TI, in the hope that that should improve my render times in vegas 15…
It’s supposed to support opengl, but vegas says it doesn’t, so all my old render settings take AGES.I tried using the NVENC profile for the magix AVC, but it’s actually slower than when I was rendering with my old GPU…
Are there any settings I could try?
Or drivers that work better?
Or should I try to see if I can exchange the card for a Radeon RX 560? -

There was no need to replace your AMD radeon HD 6950 with hopes for faster rendering in Vegas.
And just to cut the conversation short, i would probably recommend your option to exchange
the card for a Radeon RX 560 !Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Many of us actually use numerous programs that do utilizes hi end NVIDIA cards. Vegas 15 is supposed to, see this link:
Just got 15 last week and will see how that fleshes out with my 1080 8GB GPU.

I have this card and have noticed NO advantage over the 750TI in my last machine …….. but then again I can’t even render a dvd properly … good luck
