I’m evaluating which version of Sony Vegas–the Full version vs. Movie Studio Platinum–would be the best choice for creating video to be embedded into Flash educactional modules.

I’m relatively experienced with Movie Studio Platinum, and know enough to be a danger to myself and others. Thus, I would like to purchase this version for work if it’s adequate for the job. But if I need the professional version to have the necessary control of the mp4 rendered content in terms of customizing the screen geometry (or anything else) via an mp4 template, than I’m prepared to recommend that version instead.

In general, any advice for rendering video content for internet streaming via flash would be welcome.

    Thanks in advance,

    Carl Alessi

For your purposes, it won’t make any difference.

Sorensen Squeeze is what I use for Flash encoding.
