  suggestions for QT ver and OS ver for Mac Setup

  Hello,

  I’m going through a complete reinstall on my system. The Adobe website recommends Mac OS 10.4.11-10.5.4 with QT version 7.4.5 for CS4.

  My install disc installs Mac OS 10.5.2 and QT 7.4.1.

  Do I stay with the above setup? (from what I can tell this won’t allow me to use the Apple ProRes codec because this came in a later version of QT)

  Do I bring the OS and QT up to date, ignoring Adobe’s website?

  Is there a way to update to a specific version of OS and QT? I have not been able to find a place to download “in-between” versions of QT or OS.
