  Suggestions for Computer/ Software

  Hi Y’all,

  I used to be a Mac only person – but over the last 10 years I’ve been using a PC and Vegas Pro for video editing – which worked fine until the last company I worked for went under. Now I need to get a Mac and FCP to get work – and with the recent debates going on about FCPx I’m thinking I can just get a used Mac and a former version of FCP just to learn it – (I’ve been editing film and video since you needed a razor and tape, so I’m sure Ill catch on pretty quick.) So now I’m wondering what version of FCP I should try to get to learn the program so I can demonstrate proficiency, without having to bust the bank by buying a brand new computer. All suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
