I’ve been recording VOs for some product training videos that we’re going to put on our website. The VO artist is very good and I’m completely new to audio production so pretty much all I do is open the clip in Soundbooth, once the video is done, to remove the ambient room noise and use the hard limit button if needed.
I thought I’d ask around a bit to see if there’s anything I should be doing in ProTools, such as a compressor or limiter. I’m not even totally sure what that stuff is but I hear it all the time. I don’t need to do anything fancy, just want to make sure things sound good. I’m sure your answers will vary but I’d love to hear what you guys like to do.

I’ve got a MacPro 10.4.11 with Production Premium CS3 and ProTools LE 7.3.1

    Thanks
