  • Suggestion To BM: Utilize Application Defined Wacom Intuos Touch Ring Controls

I’ve been using an Intuos 4 with an Avid Color Panel. Really makes the process more efficient. The one thing I wish I could do is use the touch ring to scroll through nodes (as you can do with layers in Photoshop).

The mapping of this process to the Avid Color Panel is cumbersome (left shift+step arrow). This really should be a one click process as we do it so much. On grades with extensive node trees I just break down and use the pen/mouse.

To my knowledge, there is not even a keyboard shortcut that you can do it with so it cannot be remapped on Avid panel nor mapped to Intuos.

Just a thought for those of us not in a position to spend $30,000. Then again, maybe BM will have a surprise at NAB for us that isn’t $30,000!

Peter Chamberlain recently said on the forums that there won’t be a cheaper panel coming from them. The market for cheaper panels is covered well already.

I have the JL Cooper Eclipse. It’s got a few more buttons and rotary knobs. One of them is for navigating though the node tree.
