Suggestion request for automatic book opening
I have to make an audiovisual of a book that flip opens its pages (stiff ones) automatically in many directions one after another. I thought of a few ways to achieve this.
1. Shoot the book with wires opening the book. Then use wire removal.
2. Animate the book with layer animation either in AE of a 3D application.Are there other ways to achieve a better result?

There are several such animation templates on Videohive. Perhaps one would work for your needs.

Thanks for your suggestion, but the book does not open in the conventional way. There are many flaps that open left, right, top, bottom pivoted. So ONE SIZE FITS ALL templates don’t work for me. I have made my own AE, thats better. Just thought I would get some alternate suggestion than re-inventing the wheel.

I think you could probably get what you’re after using AE’s 3D layers. Set the anchor point of each page to the edge of the layer and you’ll be able to animate its rotation at will. Arranging the layers in 3D space, one on top of another should also get you a book look. It’ll take a bit of work, some precomps and a not-too-ambitious camera angle, but it should get you were you want to go.
