I’ve always sort of lived with this problem but it’s causing more work for me now, so I thought I’d ask. Does anybody know if there’s any way to NOT have Compressor append suffixes (like “MPEG-2 60min Fast Encode Widescreen”) to the clips it creates without going into the batch list and individually renaming each output name?

I realize I could use Automator to do this, but I’d like to prevent it from happening at all, just let the original file names pass through. This seems like something that should be simple but I can’t find anything in the preferences.

    Thanks,
    – David

I’d also like to know if anyone has a fix for this. It really does add quite a huge amount of unnecessary time when batching lots of files. it would seem crazy that there isn’t a preference setting somewhere to avoid this..
