This has been a recurring issue lately. I’m editing a project and everythng’s fine. Then I open a new project, do a simple import. or task, and WHAM–green and orange lines appear EVERYWHERE in the timeline. Sometimes a Command-Z will set me free, other times I have to go back to a previous autosave. ANY IDEAS? FCP 6 G5 dual 2.3, 4gb memory

I’m having what I think may be the same issue.

If I come back to the project a day later or do a restart my rendered timeline suddenly needs rendering. I can see the rendered files in the “rendered files” folder but FCP doesn’t link them up! I’m pretty sure it’s a bug but seems like people would be screaming about this. Personally I do renders that take hours. To have the link broken is seriously upsetting!

    FCS2 on 8 core.

Same issue here. For heavy renders, I’m dragging the render file from the render folder into my timeline and laying on a track above the clip that’s just rendered.

Only occassionally throws the render file links, seems to be random. Look forward to them fixing this.
