Sudden Video Lag
Posted by Wil Laughner on February 28, 2011 at 1:56 pmI got a new computer a couple months ago. But there’s something wrong with it. Video on my other computer worked smoothly, but on this one I get video lag on any video file in Sony Vegas, even GIF files. Should I try to re-download Sony Vegas? It’s really ruining the fun of making movies.

February 28, 2011 at 4:26 pmIs your preview set the same? Try preview, auto. This is a faster computer?

March 1, 2011 at 1:27 amI looked at your other thread where you’re having the same problem and I agree with the responses you got there.
Your computer is too underpowered for the demands you’re putting on it.
You also didn’t say how many hard drives you have but if it’s only one and it’s getting full, this is another problem.
Lastly, it could be a heat issue.
When was the last time you took the sides off and blew out the dust bunnies?
