Anyone of you has experienced a sudden drop of quality in video preview for After Effects CS 3 thru
    BlackMagic Multibride Extreme?

The problem just happen suddenly, and the video preview quality is low resolution, text are pixelated, some kind of half res video. In the past I was able to get perfect motion and full resolution out to my PAL broadcast monitor.

No issue playing out to monitor from FCP.

I’ve check all settings, trashing prefs etc… What puzzled me is this problem just happened suddenly and I’ve not installed any new software into my Intel Mac.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Thank you

    My Multibridge Software: 6.6.4
    AE CS 3 8.0,1
    Mac OSX 10.4.11
    Quicktime 7.4.1
    4 GB RAM

I was seeing an issue like this as well, but on a PC. The fix for me was to open the DeckLink control panel and turn off “Remove field jitter when video is paused”

This seemed counter-intuitive to me but it worked like a charm for previewing in AfterEffects. Now things are crystal-clear and “full-res” looking again. I musth have flipped this and forgot about it while exploring the control panel.
