Sudden CS5 slowdown
Ok here’s my conundrum-I booted up AE CS5 to make a new demo reel for myself, and when opening the app I notice that EVERYTHING is running with extreme lag. Before I even open a project, the whole UI is extremely slow, when i click on any of the menus, it takes a full 5 seconds before the drop down appears. All this is even more confusing since 1-I just used CS5 on a big project a couple of months ago and had no problems like this, and 2-other versions of AE are running fine (I tested CS5.5 and CS4, and neither have UI lag).
Any thoughts or suggestions? Could the java update that my computer just installed be involved? I’m so stumped.
-Running a 2011 Mac Pro 8 core, with 28 GB RAM.

That is weird indeed- my question though, why not use CS 5.5 if it works fine?

Had a lot of plug ins set up for CS5 that I’d rather not go through and have to reinstall 1 by 1. but looks like thats what I’ll have to do, thanks for the reply.
