I am currently trying to make a group of particles to be thrust out from a layer and as they slowly move towards the screen I want to get all of the particles to be sucked into one point. Is this possible? Appreciate your time!

Methinks you should fool around with Distort>CC Flo Motion, and maybe a few masks to clean up spills (you’ll see what I mean. This plugin really sucks, in a good way (crank up the Amount 1 or 2).

What particle system are you using?…If you are using Particular I don’t *think* this is possible, however I can’t speak for other particle systems like Particle Playground. You can do things like this fairly easily in Maya, however.

Be aware that trying to reverse-program the physics of any particle system is difficult. They’re all designed to thrust and spew, not suck and chew.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Trapcode Particular has a setting in ‘Physics/Air/Spherical Field/Strength’ when set to a negitive value it will suck particals.

I used it when slowly turning text to smoke then quickly sucking the smoke away.
