Used to be, we could render a region and then render another region, to the point where if you were really a glutton you could do that over and over to build up your image, even overlapping regions. But c4d has just started brightening the non rendering areas of the viewport in question on each successive “render region” – including brightening your previously rendered region. I don’t remember this as an issue before. To be fair there’s a brand new gianormous Nvdia quadro in this machine so perhaps that’s where the fault lies.
Is this a new feature? I have trashed the prefs file (which fixed a few other things) but not this issue.
    Thoughts?

I just did a simple test and I don’t see any of what you are describing. The previously rendered regions remain the same. Perhaps it is a graphics card issue as you suspect. I’m using R18 with a Nvidia GTX 980 Ti.

    Thanks Jim,
What you presented is what I’m used to seeing.
Will swap out the card and see if it persists.

    Solved – sort of.
We’ve had to work with OpenGL off due to the scale of the “world” on this project. (We’re exceeding the limit of what is viewable with open GL so we get that clipping at extreme distances from camera). I turned OGL back on for a more interactive session in close up on some areas and realized I wasn’t having the brightening problem when doing region renders. Is this normal? or again are we looking at a faulty card? Its pretty rare we run without Open GL so I think its why we haven’t noticed this brightening problem till now.
