Success with AE 5.5 Pro & DeckLink?…
Anyone made this config work?
I’ve been using my new DeckLink with an AE 7.0 trial upto now (it’s expired), but while I wait for the funds to be availble to buy the full retail Production Studio, I need to go back to AE 5.5.
AE is recognising the BMD option in video preivew prefs, but whenever I open anything in the comp window with that pref selected it gives me a “bad parameter (-50) unable to create QT image buffer” error message.I’ve tried a few versions of Quicktime (6.5 through to 7.1.3) to no avail.
Has anyone ever had joy with any of these combis?

Did you try the Blackmagic COW too?

Yep, but it’s quite far down and I thought it might get missed. BMD also initally said they don’t really test on such old s/ware..so I thought I’d try you lot!
