Subtract audio from one track using audio from another track
I have a dilemma where the two subjects are continually speaking on each others’ lines. There’s always an overlap. Both persons have their own lav mic, but they are close to each other so there is a bleed.
Can I remove the bleed in track 1 by some how using track 2 as a subtraction filter? Any tips are greatly appreciated.

The principle is called ” audio phase cancellation”. Not sure how you’d do it in practice.

I think you’re alluding to reversing the phase of one channel to achieve cancellation (by mixing them) in the other. It’s worth a try, but I don’t think it will work. The cancellation only happens when the two signals are the same. In your case you have two mics recording signals that are not exactly in phase with each other.
