    Subtitling workflow – other apps?

    I have another DVD project (one of many) where I need to create 5 x subtitle tracks for an hour long talking head style video. This is a LOT of text!

    For previous projects, i’ve been supplied with timecoded text files. However, my client can’t do this any more, so it’s down to me.

    I’ve been supplied with the language translations in a word doc.

    Rather than cut and paste into new subtitles in Encore (a very tedious job), I was wondering if there’s a third party app that will take a text script (with no TC info) and auto-flow it into subtitles that I can then manually adjust to fit the spoken words?

    Any thoughts?

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Just some kind of auto-flow text handling would be good – the rest I can do in Excel…
