Subtitles?
I am working on a project with tons and tons of subtitles. I would like to know the easiest workflow working with subtitles and FCP. Is there a way to import text from a Word document ( our transcriptions). Any third party apps for doing this? Also what is the best way to future proof the subtitling for online. Any ideas would be a huge help.

With Mac, you can always “copy and paste” from one text program to another.
So you COULD just create a title that was the right size and placement, put it on the timeline, and “slice” it at each approriate place and paste in the verbage from a word processor document.OR…

If it’s “tons and tons” of subtitles, then you’d be strongly advised to invest in Belle Nuit. Once you get over the learning curve you can really work at speed with great efficiency. It also can be used as a standalone app to do the spotting offline, freeing up your main editing machine. Highly recommended.
