I am using Encore and have been asked to add a subtitle file to a movie which I have already transcoded. They are sending me the file in .scc format. What is an .scc file ? I thought I could only use .txt files for encore (along with graphic files of course).

If anyone has any experience with this file format I would appreciate any help that can be offered.

    Thanks

    Dan

SCC is a closed-caption script…this is not the same as subtitles on a DVD. Instead, on NTSC TVs that have closed-captioning enabled, it will show the captions.

Encore 2.0 supports SCC files. No previous versions of Encore will.
