    Hello everyone.

They sent me a .srt file with subtitles. But some sentences need to be changed ( for example position) The problem is that If I select the clip of that particular sentence and I change the size it will change all the other sentences. Im not even selecting all of them. Is there some button Im missing to switch on?

    thanks!

You should be able to change each sentence if you untick the box to use the system settings. That opens up a lot more controls and is specific to that text box so it can be different to all the text boxes.

The check box to untick is called Use Track Style. I didn’t have the software open and didn’t remember what the box was called

After you import an art file and place it in a track, the inspector shows two sections – ‘Caption’ and ‘Style’. In the ‘Caption’ section, if ‘Use track style’ is checked, then you can go to the ‘Style’ section and make changes which affect all subtitles.

But, if you go to a specific subtitle, select it, and then in ‘Caption’ deselect ‘Use track style’. Now, in the ‘Caption’ tab, new Caption Style options appear. Any changes you make here affect only the selected subtitle.
