Subtitles as first play?
Hiya,
Another Encore problem and I am unsure on how to rectify.
Right, I have setup a timeline and imported some Subtitles, these being the copyright text type of subtitle. I set this timeline as FIRST PLAY
Now when I PREVIEW my DVD, it plays this timeline first, but it seems I have to activate the subtitles myself to see the subtitle.
Is there away to set this subtitle to permantely appear when playing this timeline, or will I have to make the subtitle a video and just play that instead?
Any help again much appreciated.

How is this is an Encore problem? It is possible to do…is that what you are asking?

I’m asking how it is done.
I don’t mean it to be an encore problem. but I’m using encore and its a problem for me because I don’t know how!

Instead of using the PikWhip, designate the First Play item in the “properties” tab for the Disc. Instead of setting it to a timeline, set it to “Specify Other”. This will allow you to set the timeline in which to play first as well as let you specify what audio track or subtitle track to activate.

I’ve managed to work out what to do – it seems pretty simple!
And there’s me thinking never to touch “Specify Other..” or the Disc properties!
