    Hi I am new here.

I am profoundly deaf and have been asked to add subtitles to Final Cut Pro X to output to use with Vimeo and YouTube and possible burn to DVD, memory stick (quicktime). Can you please kindly advise me the best subtitle editor if possible?

I will be keying the the text.

    Kind Regards

    Simon

it depends if you want real closed captioning or just titles. If it’s the latter you can just use normal text titles with FCPX itself.

If it is the latter then Digital Heavens DH_SubtitleX is a sound investment!

If you have more than a few titles I suggest you look at Andreas Khiel’s products at Spherico.de

Alternatively, you can also try Annotation Edit from Zeitanker.

I have always used Sublime, it is very easy to use and works great on long projects for Blurry and DVD:
