I haven’t done subtitles in a very long time, but I now have a project with all my subtitles in place. What I need to do is change the properties so that instead of the default transparent box around them, they will have a black background. Without this they occasionally disappear into the changing scene behind them. Assume this is an easy fix but I can’t seem to find the right button in the properties dialog.

    Thanks
    Steven

Click on a subtitle to select it and then click on the Outline button to get a black background.

To apply this to every subtitle event on your DVDA timeline, change the first one, right-click it and choose “Apply formatting to selected tracks”.

Oh! Got it. I kept clicking on the timeline not realizing I had to click the actual subtitle in the viewing window to see those controls. Thanks for the help!
