    Substituting clips

    In After Effects you can sibstitute clips either in the bin with the “replace file” or on the timeline by alt-dragging to the clip you want to place.
    Is there anything comparable in PPro?

    Not easily. You could probably unlink the media in the Project Window, and then relink to a different clip.
