Someone please help. This is driving me crazy. I’m trying to add button highlights to a one-button menu. I want it to be highlighted only when it is activated, not when it’s selected. Since it’s the only button, it is always selected and I don’t want it to be highlighted from the get-go, only when activated.

I feel like I’l followed tutorials and instructions, but it’s not working. It’s highlighted for both the selected and activated modes.

my menu was created in Photoshop and I used all the correct prefixes: (+) for layer groups and (=3) for the button highlight. I tried messing with the color sets, but don’t really understand it because I can see no changes when adjusting them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you don’t want it highlighted when selected, then create a custom menu color set in Encore where the selected state opacity is 0%, and the activated state is whatever color and opacity that you want. Then make sure that the color set is selected in Menu properties.
