Pretty bad Subject heading there. So here’s my question…

I have a locked down shot of a bar. I then have another shot that’s the same exact shot but there are 3 people in it standing in front of the bar.

Is there a plugin out there that can extract the 3 people/ isolate them and replace everything else with transparency? I guess it would have to look at the pixel differences and make a matte based on that.

I feel like there is but I can’t find squat. If anyone has any ideas that would be awesome. I’ve played with the difference matte but not so good.

Just want to see if there’s a way to isolate the 3 people so it’s just them.

    Thanks!

the effect is called difference matte… but your expectations of producing a great key should be low. it’s not very sophisticated and things like video noise and compression artifacts will become more problematic than with traditional chroma keying.
